Meet Sheldon Bergner: Founder of Be Brave Be More.
Behind the "Knowledge-Action Gap" is a Human Story.
We often know exactly what we should be doing, yet find ourselves standing still. Other times, we are motivated to take action, but either don’t know where to start, or can’t maintain that motivation. I deeply understand those frustrations because I’ve lived them. My path to becoming a professional coach wasn’t a straight line; it was a journey marked by career pivots, personal hurdles, and the eventual discovery of the tools and actions that actually create lasting change.
From Navigating Transitions to Building Bridges.
My perspective is shaped by a lifetime of navigating the same challenges my clients face. From my years as a university student through a diverse career across various fields, I moved through every milestone while managing then-undiagnosed neurodiversity. In hindsight, this allowed me to experience life through the lens of those who are “typical” (as in neuro typical), as well as those who can’t be pigeon holed so easily.
Like many of us I have walked through the heavy seasons of grief, managed complex medical issues, navigated the shifts that come with major life transitions, and also sometimes struggled with the day to day, and thinking there had to be more. These weren't just obstacles; they were the classrooms where I learned the value of reflection, evidence-based strategies, and solid supports. I don’t just coach from a textbook; I coach from a place of genuine understanding.
Structure Grounded in Science.
Today, as a professional coach working toward my Life Coach certification and ACC accreditation with the International Coaching Federation (ICF), I combine that lived empathy with rigorous and ongoing education. My goal is to help you close the gap between your intentions and your actions, providing the clarity and structure you need to move forward—even if, especially if, you’ve felt stalled in the past.
On a Personal Note.
When I’m not partnering with my clients, you’ll often find me:
In Motion: Training for a 10K or exploring the local trails. The outdoors is where I find my clearest headspace.
Learning: I am a lifelong student, constantly engaged in ongoing education in a variety of forms.
Recharging: I’m an avid reader and gamer—hobbies that fuel my curiosity and creativity.
At Home: Most importantly, I value quiet time with my wife and our pets. They are the anchor that keeps my own momentum steady.
Ready to start your next chapter?
The most important thing to know about me is that I believe "being brave" isn't about the absence of struggle, uncertainty or fear. Rather it is the courageous decision to move forward anyway, despite those obstacles.
